Cause

Raising funds to help kids in need through the amazing work of the Child Advocacy Centre of Kelowna, Kelowna General Hospital Neonatal Unit and Kelowna Sunrise Rotary Initiatives.

The Child Advocacy Centre of Kelowna (CAC) is a not-for-profit organization designed to accommodate a team of highly skilled professionals who are empowered to collaborate on cases, take actions that prevent the re-victimization and support the child’s long-term well being, as well as non-offending caregivers. Our goal is to provide a center of leadership, promoting excellence in child abuse services, research, training and education – a collective community response to protecting children from abuse.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kelowna General Hospital provides specialized services to premature infants born in house who are greater or equal than 30 weeks gestation, newborns requiring stabilization and additional support, and infants transferred from other facilities that require ongoing specialized care and management. This is a family centered care facility where parents can stay overnight at their baby’s bedside for most of the patient care areas.

The Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise uses its fundraising proceeds on a wide variety of charitable initiatives as the needs arise. None of our fundraising goes to support the Club activities.
